🎆 Celebrate Freedom the Lakeside Way: 4th of July in the Moosehead Region 🇺🇸
There’s just something magical about small-town celebrations—where fireworks light up not only the sky but also hearts. And in the Moosehead Lake Region, the 4th of July is more than just a holiday—it’s a vibe, a memory, a moment.
If you’re dreaming of classic American summer fun, mark your calendar because here’s how we’re ringing in freedom in the best way possible:
🎇 July 3 – Pre-Party Sparkle
Start the festivities early with Greenville’s fireworks at dusk. Pack a blanket, grab a loved one, and get ready to “ooh and ahh” under a canopy of color. (Psst… Rain date is July 5—so don’t worry if Maine does its Maine-weather thing 🌧️😉.)
✨ For the VIP crowd, the Katahdin Fireworks Cruise is already sold out—but even from the shoreline, the show promises to be unforgettable.
Live music? Yes, please. Local favorite Ritchie Kenefic will be setting the vibe at Stress Free Moose from 4–7 PM.
🎨 July 4 & 5 – Crafts, Community & Celebrations
The Greenville Craft Fair runs both days from 9 AM to 3 PM—perfect for browsing local art, finding one-of-a-kind gifts, and supporting small businesses.
🎶 Ritchie returns July 4 for another set from 6–9 PM—so if you missed him the first time, you’ve got another shot!
🚲 July 4 Only – Parades on Parades
If your heart beats for Americana, this is your day.
🧒 The Kids’ Bike Parade lines up at 8:45 AM—adorable, creative, and full of heart.
🚗 The Main Parade kicks off at 11 AM in Greenville Junction, with lineup beginning at 9:30 AM. Categories include:
⭐ Most Patriotic
🎨 Most Creative
🎭 Most Entertaining
Pro tip: Bring a chair, grab a mocktail from Turning Page Farm (4–7 PM), and let the celebration roll!
🚤 July 4 Evening – Lake Life Magic
Celebrate lakeside with Rockwood’s 16th Annual Boat Parade at 7 PM and Fireworks at The Birches at dusk. It’s the kind of night you dream about all year.
Still want more? Hop aboard the Katahdin Rockwood Fireworks Cruise from 6:30–11:30 PM (yes, tickets are still available! 🛳️🎟️)
🌧️ July 5 – Rain Date & Reset
If weather shifts anything around, don’t worry. July 5 has your back.
Final Thoughts:
Whether you’re a visitor or a local, the Moosehead Lake Region has a way of turning holidays into unforgettable moments. This year, step away from the hustle, soak in the beauty, and celebrate freedom with fireworks, parades, and lakefront magic. 🇺🇸💫
Happy Fourth, friend! 🧨✨
